2006 Pulaski Day Parade
On October 1, Pulaski Day Parade was held at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to celebrate the 227th anniversary of General Casimir Pulaski’s death. He was a Polish hero of the American Revolutionary War. Various Polish organizations, schools and groups from Philadelphia area attended the parade to honor Polish Immigrants for their contributions to the United States.
Participants in traditional Polish dress walk in the parade. People of all ages gathered to celebrate Pulaski Day.
Children in traditional Polish dress watch the Army band as the it parades. Several military guests also participated in the parade.
A participant in the parade waves the Polish flags while he marches down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Hundreds of floats were decorated with red and white colors.
The Army band plays the American National Anthem sang in Polish.
A member of the Polish American Congress salutes to the crowd while he marches in the parade. The Polish American Congress is the sponsor of Pulaski Day Parade.
